IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARENTS
(Nursery – Std IV)
Dear Parents,
Namaste.
On behalf of the Management and Staff of St. Mira’s School, we are delighted to welcome you and your child to the Academic Session 2026–2027.
This circular is intended to inform parents about important guidelines and arrangements before the commencement of the new academic session. Parents are requested to read the following instructions carefully and ensure strict adherence.

1. School Re-Opening Schedule
Nursery will reopen on Wednesday, 10 June 2026.
For the first two days (10 June 2026 and 11 June 2026), the school timings will be 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. During these two days, one of the parent is requested to remain within the school premises.
From Friday, 12 June 2026, the regular school timings will be 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Parents will not be permitted to remain inside the school premises during school hours.
Please note that the Gates of the School will close at 9.10 am. No student will be allowed inside after the Gate is closed.

JrKG & SrKG will reopen on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.
Timing: 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m

Std I - IV will reopen on Monday, 8 June 2026.
Timing: 8.50 am to 3.20 pm
Please note that the Gates of the School will close at 8.45 am. No student will be allowed inside after the Gate is closed.
2. Attendance
Attendance on the first day of school is compulsory. If a child does not report on the first day, the admission will stand cancelled.

3. School Working Days
The school follows a five-day working week (Monday to Friday).
The school office will remain open on Saturdays, however it will be closed for parents.

4. Books will be available in the School premises on Friday, 5 June 2026 between 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.
After purchasing the books and other items, parents are requested to label all belongings of the child with the child’s name and section using a permanent marker. This includes books, shoes, socks, tiffin box, school bag, water bottle, etc., for easy identification.

5. Students must attend school in the prescribed uniform only. The uniform should be clean, neat and properly maintained.
Fancy jewellery, make-up, coloured hair, nail polish, or fancy accessories are not permitted. Students should maintain short and clean nails and carry a handkerchief daily.
In case of repeated non-compliance with the prescribed school uniform and grooming standards, the school will be compelled to take strict disciplinary action. This may include not permitting the student to attend class and requesting the parent to collect the child from school. Parents are requested to kindly understand and cooperate with the school authorities if such action becomes necessary.
Important:
Parents are informed that the names of certain vendors have been mentioned for the convenience of purchasing uniforms and books. However, parents are free to procure these items from any vendor of their choice. The list provided by the school is purely for convenience and is not mandatory.

Children commuting by the private rickshaws – An authority letter along with a photograph giving the details of the person deputed to collect your ward should be submitted to the Class Teacher. Due to some unforeseen reason if the child has to be picked up from the school, the identity of the person doing so should be made known to the school. He must have an authority letter with him or it must be mailed to us.

ID Cards will be given from School. Children will not be allowed inside the school premises without the ID-Card issued by the school.

You are requested not to send your ward to school if she is unwell or has an appointment with the doctor. No half day leave will be permitted.

No Non – Vegetarian food (including eggs, cakes, etc.) will be brought to the School.

All parents should read the handbook, fill in the required information in it, sign the declaration form and follow the rules and regulations strictly.

Students are not allowed to wear any ornaments (artificial or real)

Application for leave for Marriage, Pooja Ceremony, Delivery etc. will not be entertained if it is for more than 2 days. Prior permission & approval of the Headmistress to be taken for the same.

Students must also bring their own lunch box and water bottle and also try to follow the schedule of the Menu given.
PROHIBITED POSSESSIONS
Students are strictly prohibited from bringing the following items to school:
a) Mobile phones, tablets, iPods, or any other electronic gadgets.
If any student is found carrying such items, they will be confiscated and returned only after three months. No requests for relaxation in this matter will be entertained.
b) Wearing smart watches, expensive watches, or digital trackers is not permitted.
c) Bringing eatables such as chocolates, chewing gum, sweets, etc. to school is strictly prohibited.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
On their birthday, students may come to school in decent casual coloured clothes.
Students may choose to present a sapling or a book to the school, or distribute simple stationery items. Eatables and cutting of cakes are not allowed.
Parents are requested not to send chocolates, sweets, cakes, or expensive gifts to school.
This meaningful practice encourages the values of “Learning to Give” and “Conservation of Nature” among students.

The School Almanac, Identity Card, and Syllabus Booklet will be issued to the students by the school in the month of June.

This circular is being issued in advance so that parents have sufficient time to complete fee payment and guide their wards regarding school rules, uniform, prohibited items, and birthday celebration policies.
The school strongly discourages the use of plastic, as it is harmful to the environment and poses serious risks to nature and human health. In order to promote environmental awareness and encourage responsible habits among students, parents are requested not to send plastic tiffin boxes or plastic water bottles to school.
Students are encouraged to bring steel tiffin boxes and steel water bottles as a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative. This small step will help inculcate the values of environmental responsibility and conservation among young learners.
We seek the cooperation of all parents in supporting this initiative and helping the school promote a cleaner and greener environment.
The school is committed to promoting healthy habits and environmental responsibility among students from an early age.
Parents are requested not to send plastic tiffin boxes or plastic water bottles, as plastic is harmful to the environment and poses health hazards. Students should carry steel tiffin boxes and steel water bottles as a safer and eco-friendly alternative.
The school seeks the support and cooperation of all parents in helping inculcate these responsible habits in our students.
I-Card
Parents are requested to purchase the School uniform, click a passport size photo of your child in uniform. Then scan the QR Code given below and submit all details for preparation of I-Card.
